Decorative Knots

Decorative, ornamental or fancy knots are not necessarily strong but they have an aesthetic appeal. They usually exhibit repetitive patterns and are complex in structure. They date back to ancient times when they were used to enhance the ship-like shape of a nautical vessel. Decorative knots can be made with single or multiple strands and they may be used alone or in conjunction with other knots of the same nature. The tying guides can be utilized for making them around poles, curtains, handles, for designing jewelry (necklaces, bracelets), in macramé patterns, etc. You can tie them with paracord, ribbon, rope ends, braids and lanyards.
